I am super excited that you have decided to stop by Tatums  Closet.  I am a woman who is a competitive shopper, loves to find incredible deals on anything from clothing for my kids to toys for my pets to home decor items of any kind. I love taking a room whether it be in my home or someone elses and changing it around and inspiring them with looks and ideas that maybe they couldn’t dream could happen on their own.

I have a passion for finding hidden treasures especially at  Garage sales that I randomly find either in my neighborhood or someone elses. And once I find that item like a window that no one wants anymore, I bargain my way to get it for much lower then the owner is asking and then turn it into a one of a kind magical piece that will suit mine or someone elses need or decor.

Oh and I forgot to mention that I love love love anything Cupcake related. There is something about cupcakes that gets me motivated.  I research and test receipes to find that perfect cake (after all isn’t it the cake that makes the difference anyway) The icing has to be good but if the actual cake itself isn’t I’m out of there never to return again.Sure the prettyness (think I spelled that right) is important too but it bothers me when you see a gorgeous cupcake on the shelf of a bakery and you are eager to bite into it and when you finally give in to your cravings and ” Wham” it turns out that the cake is dry, crumbly and has absolutely no flavor to it. So disappointing.

Even writing these little tid bits gets me going and exctited.  My goal truly is to help you find deals, become a better cook by finding shortcuts that even your closest friends would never be able to guess came from guess what” a slow cooker’ or as I knew it growing up a “crock pot”.  Some of my best dishes have come out of this beauty and I will show you how to cut corners and make amazing meals too.

Some of you may still be wondering “Who is this lady behind Tatums Closet”   Sorry I like to ramble so now I will tell you.

I am a mom with two wonderful kids who truly inspire me everyday. Simply put- they inspire me everyday to be a better person and to let go and have more fun.  I am a blogger who loves to write. I was a Fashion Buyer for a major department store chain back in the day (probably where I got all of my passion for shopping and finding deals and became an expert negotiator.  I love to travel but I do enjoy family time every Sunday with my parents and sister. I have a couple of really “true” girlfriends that I have known most of my life. I guess you can say I’m like everyone else.

I really look forward to hearing your comments and I hope that what I have learned over the years will be able to teach you something new and inspire you to do anything, something different.
